Getting tested
As restrictions ease across Queensland, we need more people to get tested for COVID-19.
If you have any COVID-19 symptoms, no matter how mild, you should get tested immediately. Symptoms may include:
📌 Fever
📌 Cough
📌 Sore throat
📌 Shortness of breath
📌 Runny nose
📌 Fatigue
People may also experience other symptoms that are different to what is shown above, such as headache, loss of smell, loss of taste, nausea or vomiting, muscle pain, joint pain, diarrhoea or a loss of appetite. Symptoms can vary depending on each case.
If you have a sudden onset of any COVID-19 symptoms, you should contact your local doctor or call 13HEALTH (13 43 25 84).

Before your appointment, please call ahead and tell them about your symptoms so they can prepare for your visit.
Fever clinics
Fever clinics are specialist clinics to assess people who may be infected with COVID-19. These clinics help to keep people who may be contagious away from other areas of hospitals and health centres. This helps to reduce the potential spread of the virus and keeps the emergency department available for emergencies.
Fever clinics are managed by Hospital and Health Services.
