QLD Border update 14/7

UPDATE from Sandy Bolton MP
ALERT – UNSCHEDULED BORDER UPDATE 14 JULY 2020

COVID HOTSPOTS – From midday today, Liverpool and Campbelltown Local Government Areas (LGA) in NSW have been declared as hotspots. This is in addition to the request for any Queenslanders who visited the Crossroads Hotel in Casula (Liverpool LGA) between 3 July and 10 July to seek testing and self-isolate until receiving a negative result.

It is important that any residents planning a trip out of Queensland currently, understands that the COVID-19 situation in other states continues to change rapidly, which means you may be subject to mandatory hotel quarantine at your own expensive when returning. Please keep informed regarding the latest declared hotspots to save any unpleasant and expensive surprises when returning home. As a guide, 14 days of quarantine costs $2,800 for one person in a room or $3710 when two people are sharing the same room, which includes meals. You can find an outline of the costs in the Q&A’s included at the bottom of the border restrictions, see links below.
